  • Numerous nujeong were built in and around palaces, the Han River, and scenic spots in Seoul, which was the capital of the Joseon Dynasty for 600 years. However, with the exception of those located within palaces, only a few nujeong have been preserved intact up to the present day. Notably, nujeong in Seoul were built by kings, members of the royal family and the aristocratic class, particularly those with a post in the central government. Ancestral records housed at the National Library of Korea showcase images of old nujeong in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. (rdf:langString) (en)
(rdf:langString) (ko)
