He came from a family of royal doctors and he also was a lecturer on cold-related medical conditions at a medical college. In his later life, he wrote 『Sanghanrongipsung(傷寒論集成)』, a must-read for those who study cold-related illnesses. He met Tongshinsa at an early age of 16 but could communicate with Joseon people by writing on the spot, thanks to his outstanding knowledge in Chinese letters. \n 『Sanghanpiluh』 has prefaces written by Inagaki Nagaaki(稲垣長章, 1695-1777) and doctor Muraoka Ho(村岡彭). Poems and written correspondences exchanged on Feb 23, Feb 24, Feb 28, Mar 5, and March 8 in 1764 are placed in the order of time. He met an eminent doctor Lee, Jua-Gook(李佐國, 1733-?) and asked many questions on medical practices including medicines recorded in 『Exemplar of Korean medicine(東醫寶鑑)』, theories mentioned in Chinese medical texts, ginseng prescription, cures of some illnesses, and others. Also Yamada asked Lee to write a preface for his book 『Goldobyunoh(骨度辨誤)』. He also met Tongshinsa writer Nam, Ok(南玉, 1722-1770), exchanged poems and correspondences on a range of areas including object names, attires, geographies of the two countries. Yamada wanted to have Hanguel handwritings, and Nam left his handwriting for him. As Tongshinsa accommodation was tightly regulated, it was rare for a Japanese to visit there and exchanged written correspondences this much frequently.\n The 『Sanghanpiluh』 copy housed in the National Museum of Korea is a transcribed copy of 1764 print produced in Sangodang(尙古堂), Edo. The collection is an incredibly sophisticated transcription, and there is no difference from the original print. Who transcribed this collection has not been confirmed yet but it indicates that Tonan Yamada’s correspondences were widely read at that time."@en , "1764년 야마다 도난(山田圖南, 1749-1787)이 에도에서 통신사 사행원들을 만나 나눈 필담과 창화시를 기록한 책이다. ; dcterms:alternative "상한필어"@ko ; dcterms:date "寶曆 14(1764)" ; dcterms:dateSubmitted "2020-11-30"^^xsd:date ; dcterms:issued "1764" ; dcterms:source ; dcterms:title "상한필어"@ko , "桑韓筆語" , "Sanghanpiluh"@en ; schema:category eadlcollection:NLK_Joseon_missions_to_Japan_Joseon_Tongsinsa , eadlcollection:KoreaCollection , eadlcollection:NLK_Collection_of_Written_Correspondences ; schema:datePublished "2020-11-30"^^xsd:date ; schema:image eadl:DM-NLKEOL000013910_DO_img11 , eadl:DM-NLKEOL000013910_DO_img24 , eadl:DM-NLKEOL000013910_DO_img2 , eadl:DM-NLKEOL000013910_DO_img23 , eadl:DM-NLKEOL000013910_DO_img12 , eadl:DM-NLKEOL000013910_DO_img16 , eadl:DM-NLKEOL000013910_DO_img21 , eadl:DM-NLKEOL000013910_DO_img9 , eadl:DM-NLKEOL000013910_DO_img5 , eadl:DM-NLKEOL000013910_DO_img6 , eadl:DM-NLKEOL000013910_DO_img4 , eadl:DM-NLKEOL000013910_DO_img22 , eadl:DM-NLKEOL000013910_DO_img27 , eadl:DM-NLKEOL000013910_DO_img14 , eadl:DM-NLKEOL000013910_DO_img18 , eadl:DM-NLKEOL000013910_DO_img15 , eadl:DM-NLKEOL000013910_DO_img20 , eadl:DM-NLKEOL000013910_DO_img8 , eadl:DM-NLKEOL000013910_DO_img19 , eadl:DM-NLKEOL000013910_DO_img3 , eadl:DM-NLKEOL000013910_DO_img10 , eadl:DM-NLKEOL000013910_DO_img17 , eadl:DM-NLKEOL000013910_DO_img1 , eadl:DM-NLKEOL000013910_DO_img25 , eadl:DM-NLKEOL000013910_DO_img26 , eadl:DM-NLKEOL000013910_DO_img13 , eadl:DM-NLKEOL000013910_DO_img7 ; owl:sameAs ; foaf:thumbnail .
