As it was before the invention of a copy machine, ancestors transcribed documents to retain them. Its cover reads “Facts on Epitaph Construction(戊寅建碑事實)” Initially there was no sign for the queen’s birthplace in Wonju but upon the recommendation from the Minister of Culture and Education(Yejo), Hong, Sang-Han, the government purchased the site and constructed a stone monument, along with a house to protect the monument. King Yeongjo himself wrote “Epitaph to Honor Queen Inyeol’s birthplace(仁烈王后誕生故基碑文)\".\n In this compilation, there are a total of 38 records documented from November 26, 1758 to March 2, 1759 among multiple departments and the Ministry of Culture and Education, which include Gangwondo Gamyoung(Gangreung), Gyoseugwan, Sunhyecheung (government agency in charge of collecting taxes), Hojo (Finance Ministry), and officials in Wonju, Pyenghae, and Uljin. Financing property purchase and construction budgets, procuring construction materials, securing artisans, and awards to be granted to those involved in the construction after the construction’s completion were discussed. \n Not extensive though, it has its value as a document which cannot be found in the chronological records. Most of all, it implies how much Joseon valued recording. This collection housed in the National Library of Korea is thought to be the only surviving copy."@en ; dcterms:alternative "인열왕후비각등록"@ko ; dcterms:date "[刊寫年未詳]" ; dcterms:dateSubmitted "2020-11-30"^^xsd:date ; dcterms:title "仁烈王後碑閣謄錄" , "Transcription of Queen Inyeol Epitaph"@en , "인열왕후비각등록"@ko ; schema:category eadlcollection:KoreaCollection , eadlcollection:NLK_Women_in_Royal_Palace , eadlcollection:NLK_Women_in_the_Joseon_era ; schema:datePublished "2020-11-30"^^xsd:date ; owl:sameAs ; foaf:thumbnail .
