『Heart Sutra(大般若波羅蜜多經)』 is an extensive collection of 600 volumes of Prajñā scriptures which had been printed individually, with the oldest one among them tracing back to the first century BC. It was translated by Xuanzang(玄奘) during the Tang dynasty. This collection is also called 『Great Prajñā Scripture(大般若經)』.
This scripture originally had folded binding, which was modified into a scroll format. Upper folding part was damaged severely so affixed again later into multiple folds. The book title is on its cover and volume 1, and volume number (Volume 355(卷第三百五十五)) and order of the box(函次)(Rain(雨)) are marked under the title. The translator’s name is recorded under the book title in the volume 1: \"Samzang Monk Xuanzang translated this literature at King’s order.\" Main texts and publication note “Printed by Jinsil” are printed in small size in the last volume.(en)
『대반야바라밀다경(大般若波羅蜜多經)』은 기원전 1세기 무렵부터 개별적으로 성립된 반야부(般若部)의 여러 경전들을 집대성한 600권의 방대한 총서(叢書)로, 당대(唐代)에 현장(玄奘)이 번역한 것이다. 『대반야경(大般若經)』이라고 부르기도 한다.
본 해제본은 원래 절첩장이었던 것을 권자본[두루마리]으로 개장(改裝)하였는데, 절첩장의 접힌 부분의 상단 부분의 훼손이 심하여 다시 배접하였다. 표지서명과 권수서명은 『대반야바라밀다경(大般若波羅蜜多經)』이며, 서명 아래는 권제355(卷第三百五十五)라고 권차가 표시되어 있다. 서명 아래에는 우(雨)라고 함차(函次)가 표시되어 있다. 권수서명 아래에는 “삼장법사 현장이 어명을 받들어 번역하다[三藏法師玄奘奉詔譯]”라고 번역자가 표시되어 있다. 권말에는 “진실이 인쇄하여 만들다[陳實印造]”라고 본문과 별도의 간기가 작은 글씨로 찍혀 있다.
