This is an anthology of poems by Song Sun (宋純, 1493-1582, penname Myeonang), a scholar and civil official of the mid-Joseon era. Myeonangjeong Pavilion (俛仰亭) is a jeongja where Song Sun spent the rest of his life after his retirement, teaching scholars in Damyang. At the jeongja, he engaged in scholarly discussions with well-known figures like Teogye Yi Hwang and fostered younger scholars including Gi Dae-seung and Jeong Cheol. His known works include Song of Myeonang Pavilion (俛仰亭歌, Myeonangjeongga), whose Korean lyrics were translated into Chinese, in addition to many other poems.(en)
조선중기 문신 송순(宋純, 1493-1582)의 시문집이다. 송순의 호이기도 한 면앙정(俛仰亭)은 송순이 관직을 떠나 담양에서 선비들을 가르치며 여생을 보낸 정자이다. 퇴계 이황을 비롯한 유명 인사들과 학문에 대해 토론하던 곳이며, 기대승, 정철 등의 후학을 배출하였다. 한글로 전해져온 가사를 한문으로 옮긴 면앙정가와 많은 한시, 시조가 전해지고 있다
