Picture book from Nara. It depicts Yuya, main character of Yōkyoku from『The Tale of Heike』. Dialogues from the story sit on the illustration, which betrays emakimono sentiment of the Muromachi period. Yuya who served Taira no Munemori received a letter from her frail mother and wished to return to her mother yet this wish didn’t come to fruition. She sang a song and danced at flower-viewing in kiyomizudera. Munemori, deeply impressed by the song, finally allowed her to return to her hometown.(en)

奈良絵本。『平家物語』中の一挿話に基づいた謡曲「熊野（ゆや）」を題材にしたもの。詞書が挿絵の中に書きこまれており、室町時代の絵巻物の雰囲気を残している。「ゆや」は主人公の名である。平宗盛に仕えていた「ゆや」は、病気の母から手紙が届き帰郷を願うがかなわない。清水寺の花見で歌を詠じつつ舞うと、歌に感じ入った宗盛はようやく帰郷を許す、という物語である。
