This is a unique piece of work that reorganizes the famous 『Records of the Three Kingdoms』 story by focusing on the activities of Zhuge Liang. As taking Zhuge Liang published in Japan original, it changed the tone of the book to sound like a classical novel. This came out on November 7, 1913, and became the first volume of the ‘Biography Series’ produced by Hakubunkan publisher. In the preface, the states that Zhuge Liang’s activities and achievements are recorded chronologically an estimated accordingly. This shows the publisher’s intention to explain the readers that this is more of a fiction rather than a real-life biography.
