The most cherished classical novel Chunhyang Jeon has at least 400 different editions. The main topic of the book is that Chunhyang and Lee Mongryong’s love is oppressed because of the class difference, but they eventually overcome it. The landscape of other characters’ desires and relationship also makes it interesting. The book emphasizes that it is written in ‘Korean alphabet’, therefore, it has relatively less old sayings or traditional poetry references than other classical novel ttakjibon books, but more of Korean pun.(en)
