“Guk-jo-o-rye-eui” is a book about the five national rituals, Gilrye, Garye, Binrye, Gunrye, and Hyungrye. This book was originally ordered to be published by King Sejong to Heo Jo about the five rituals. Heo Jo and more writers viewed old ritual book classics and “Hong-mu-ye-je,” and copied “Du-ssi-tong-jeon” but could not finish the book. King Sejo ordered to Gang Heui Maeng and more again to select the important aspects from the five rituals and publish with tables of information, but the writers could not complete. Finally, it was finished in 1474 (King Seongjong 5) by Shin Suk Ju, Jeong Cheok and more. The book includes preface written by Gang Hee Maeng and “Jin-guk-o-rye-eui-jeon” by Shin Suk Ju.(en)
국조오례의는 국가의 기본예식인 오례, 즉 길례(吉禮)·가례(嘉禮)·빈례(賓禮)·군례(軍禮)·흉례(凶禮)에 대해 규정한 예전(禮典)이다. 편찬 경위는 처음 세종이 허조(許稠) 등에게 오례에 관한 것을 저작하도록 명했는데, 허조 등은 고금의 예서(禮書)와 ≪홍무예제 洪武禮制≫를 참작하고 ≪두씨통전 杜氏通典≫을 모방하여 편찬에 착수했으나 이를 완성하지 못하였다.
다시 세조가 강희맹(姜希孟) 등에 명하여 오례 중에서 중요한 것을 뽑고, 또 도식(圖式)을 붙여 편찬하게 했으나 탈고하지 못하다가 1474년(성종 5)에 신숙주와 정척 등에 의해 완성되었다. 권두에 강희맹의 서문과 신숙주의 ＜진국조오례의전 進國朝五禮儀箋＞이 있다.(ko)
